MY STORY

Hello and the warmest welcome to Justine Kendall Makeup!

I am a Bridal Makeup Artist based in Ilminster in South Somerset. I cover the areas of Somerset, Devon, Dorset and Bristol.

 

My Makeup journey began about five years ago when I decided to combine my love of working with brides and my love of makeup. For years I worked in and managed a number of luxury bridal studios in Bristol, London and Buckinghamshire where I worked with brides choosing the most special dress of their lives - their wedding dress! This is when I fell in love with the Bridal industry and decided to bring my two passions together!

So, I decided to go for it and take the first step towards becoming a Makeup Artist. I signed up to train with the wonderful TeamGlam who are based in London. Fast forward to now and I have also completed my one-to-one Advanced Makeup Artistry Course with the incredible Kristina Gasperas at her wonderful Academy. This is by far the best career decision I have ever made and my training has taught me more than I could have imagined! I am also a member of Kristina’s one-of-a kind online academy which enables me to practice and refine my skills every single day.

 

Because I am so in love with what I do and because I am (I admit) a complete perfectionist, you can trust that I will work with you to ensure that your makeup look is not only completely stunning, but that it is exactly how you pictured yourself on your special day. I genuinely want you to look in the mirror when I lay my final brush down and recognise yourself as the beautiful woman that you are.

 

My perfectionist nature means that (with no exaggeration, ask my partner!), every single product in my kit has been researched, tried, tested and reviewed tirelessly because I won’t use anything on my brides that I do not love and would not want to use on myself. This means you can expect luxury products that deliver exactly what they say they will. I have a vast collection of brands in my professional kit with my true favourites being none other than Charlotte Tilbury (obsessed), BECCA, NARS, Glossier, Bobbi Brown and MAC.

 

You will have your consultation with me ahead of the big day so that we can perfect your bridal makeup look but also so that we can have a lovely cup of tea or glass of bubbles and get to know each other before I join you on quite possibly the most important day of your life!

I have always wanted a career that I absolutely love! I knew I would never settle for something that didn’t excite and inspire me every single day. As cliché as it is being a Makeup Artist is my dream come true and because I feel this way, you can absolutely trust that you are in safe (and talented) hands.
